Blue
Where the purple phase may have felt addicting, the blue phase feels freeing! You get to a point where learning new moves just to learn another move starts to feel meaningless. What's the point? You start to have a craving for a refocusing, and this is it! If you do learn new moves, they are found through an exciting process of discovery as you spend time building your unique style on your apparatus of choice.
This is where the "point" of a move is to transition you from where you were to where you want to get to in a piece, or perhaps build a character, or confine a particular theme. This is where it starts to truly feel rewarding as you share your creative pursuits through performance. We help you with the creative process all along the way, so those of you who may feel creative-challenged, don't worry! We have outlines for you to work from. Those of you who want the freedom to do your thing - we can give you that too! This is all about embracing your time to be who you are in movement. It doesn't end need to have any aerial apparatus involved! That's why you can jump straight from green to blue if creative movement is your passion. You get to decide when you enter this phase. You will be working with whatever skill set you have, and if that is currently limited to crawling and rolling, the stage is yours! Have your way with it. At the MOMEX, we strongly believe that movement is medicine. We see performance as therapy. A way to express emotions, share emotions, and create a community that supports one another in the process. We are NOT here to be the best, perform at any competition, or win any trophy. Our triumph is the sound of laugher, tears of joy, or a simply hum of connection from our audience members as we share our hearts through movement. |
