Teaching is a very unique calling. While you may not actually teach, just learning as much as a teacher knows is a feat in and of itself. Do you know every muscle that keeps the shoulder safe? Do you know how to immediately tell which footlock is on a student? Do you know how to break down a move into its fundamental pieces and put it back together again? Can you recommend specific exercises or stretches to a new student in their movement journey?
These are the kinds of things covered in teacher trainings, and at this point, you might consider taking one of those courses. Whether you pursue teaching or not, you are a true "movement nerd" and love learning about the body and how to move with it. Your discipline does not have to be aerial. Perhaps Pilates has your body interested and you would like to come back to our studio loaded with your integrated knowledge of the body. This stage will look so different for each person, but the one thing everyone has in common is mastery. Everyone reaches their 10,000 hours of practice at some point if they keep at it long enough. At that point, what do you want your journey to look like? We are here to provide you an outlet to be whatever that looks like. |
