ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS

At AerialWorks, we have two distinct programs that sometimes overlap but are often run separately: a Youth Program (Ages 8-18) and an Adult Program (Ages 16+). Each program offers programming for all skill levels from beginning-advanced aerialists, including performance opportunities throughout the year. We are a very loving, supportive fitness community. We cheer each other on, from the success of your first inversion to the success of your 50th performance piece. :)

See below for more information about each program.

YOUTH PROGRAM
Kids & Teens (Ages 8-18) are divided up by age group (typically 8-11 and 12-18).  We offer after-school recreational aerial arts, where students get introduced to the various disciplines of aerial (sling, fabric, trapeze, hoop, etc). Students who are ready are provided with opportunities to perform at end-of-semester recitals. Talented and dedicated students may wish to join our Performance Team, a small group that commits to coming 4-5 days/week to study every apparatus. These students join our adults in our quarterly pre-professional shows.

Check out our Schedule of Classes for Kids & Teens HERE.

ADULT PROGRAM
Our adult program classes are divided by apparatus and skill level. Traditional apparatuses we train on = sling, fabric, trapeze and hoop. When available, we also like to train on rope, straps, cube and more! We love to see new students who thought that they could never do a pull-up or do anything "as crazy as aerial" completely transform and be flying after a year or two through our program. Dedication pays dividends deeply at our studio.

As for our general drop-in classes, anything labeled "Beginning" is great for new students. If you are a transfer student, you are welcome to join in any Intermediate or Advanced class as long as meet the prerequisites. If you are not sure, there's no harm in jumping into a beginning class for evaluation and to get to know our program.

At our studio, we follow the Born to Fly Curriculum, which is:
Level 1 = Beginner
Level 2 = Intermediate
Level 3 = Advanced

Interested in Performing?
Our adults (who wish to do so) get to perform in our quarterly shows. If you are new to performing, we recommend starting with the Beginning Performance Course, offered each session as there is interest. As you "grow-up" through our program, we will recommend classes and courses that are designed around your talents and skill-level. It is important to take both skill classes and performance classes if you want to proceed to the next level.

About the name: AerialWorks

The name AerialWorks has dual meaning. The first meaning has to do with creating aerial works-or-art. At the heart of our studio is our quarterly productions (Oct, Dec, Mar & May). We create opportunities for students to be a part of performances, as well as invite guest artists to come debut new and innovative aerial work. We love exploring how aerial art can be used in fun ways to create entertaining shows.

The second meaning is derived from a sustainability perspective. Doing aerial works. Meaning it works and is effective in creating a body that is strong and well-rounded.  Aerial will strengthen your body in every way imaginable. After several dedicated years, you are guaranteed to be able to do pull ups and have the strongest core imaginable, all the while just having fun doing it! This low-impact, brain-working, empowering, motivating, absolutely-addicting work will never fail to put anyone in the best shape of their life. And this is why aerial works. It's a life-long art form to study even if solely for fun and fitness.

About Our Studio

Our Castle Rock studio is packed with adjustable rig points soaring 15-20 feet high, spread out in our warehouse of over 2,700 sq feet. That means you get to do a lot of moving and working! Additionally, we have a very low student-to-teacher ratio, meaning you will get a ton of 1-on-1 attention from our amazing instructors.

We pride ourselves in offering a curriculum that allows anyone to participate and enjoy movement in a new way, whether you are a recreational fitness enthusiast, or a mover seeking to perform professionally one day. Our curriculum was written by studio founder, Rebekah Leach, who has been creating aerial resources for the aerial arts industry for over 15 years. You can find out more about her work at www.AerialDancing.com as well as www.borntoflyteachers.com. Studios around the world have been formed based on her work.

About Our Heart

Here at AerialWorks, our goal is to serve God and love others through teaching aerial. Sometimes you will hear music praising God floating through the studio because we are so thankful for all He has done to make this studio possible. At age 17, Rebekah felt God telling her she would own a dance studio one day. The foretelling was confusing as she applied to several dance program in college and got rejected by them all! Not surprising since she had never been formally trained. But oh, how she loves to dance and God is always faithful. Aerial entered her life when she was 22 and Rebekah found her dance in aerial. Now, Rebekah has written more than 10 books in the field of aerial dance and has become one of the industry leaders. She has created the world's largest library of aerial vocabulary through her resources, including books, downloads, and videos. It just goes to show that the road to success typically starts with failures. And if God is calling you to do something, don't get discouraged by the obstacles in the way.

At AerialWorks, we seek to provide a place to rest, renew and strengthen our bodies, minds and spirits. We remain, faithfully, in the strong and wonderful GRIP of the Lord.

"That's right. Because I, your God, have a firm grip on you and I'm not letting go. I'm telling you, 'Don't panic. I'm right here to help you.'"
~ Isaiah 41:13 MSG ~

"Loved it! Great addition to Castle Rock, and unlike anything else we have. Aerial yoga is a great challenge and really gets you out of your comfort zone in a fun way!"
            - Mary Bertke

"Such a great place to get some good exercise while having fun. Everybody who works there is fantastic. Definitely something for everyone, too. Highly recommend giving it a try!"
         - Crissy Howard

"AerialWorks in Castle Rock is one of the, if not THE, cleanest, nicest, and well stocked studios I have visited. Excellent rigging, ample therabands, foam rollers etc, and tons of new mats for safety are just a few things to boast about here. Rebekah Leach has so much knowledge and it shows in how the studio is set up and run. There is such a great focus on choreography as well as safely learning new skills and I find that balance important for budding aerialists. If you are in the area you will definitely want to check it out!"

     - Constance Echo Palmer

"Gotta go see just one performance. You'll never understand the effort it takes until you have someone in it."

- Dave Heath

"With a big Birthday coming up I just wanted to laugh and try something new with my friends so I booked a private class on a Friday evening. The 8 of us had such a great time. Rebekah was a wonderful teacher and was patient with our giggles and silliness. I'm sure an actual class is more focused than we were. I look forward to trying one and checking out a performance soon."
